Message from the Sheriff

Welcome to Little Creek, home of the California's newest cowboy action shooting club, the Coyote Valley Cowboys, It all started in October 2009 when I approached Tom Ebert, owner of the Coyote Valley Sporting Clays facility about bringing cowboy action shooting to his fine sporting clays facility. I had been to the facility a few times prior as an archery instructor during one of the many youth events held there. It was during one of these events that I looked around and decided that this would make a great home for cowboy action shooting. The landscape was perfect, a 50 acre shooting facility in the heart of a 3000 acre cattle ranch. After a year of informal practice at the range, Tom decided he wanted to build and promote a full scale SASS facility as part of his operation. The opportunity was declined by an existing SASS club, and The Coyote Valley Cowboys were born. With the help of many SASS shooters, most notably El Vaquero and myself, Tom is building a premier CAS facility in the heart of Santa Clara County. We will eventually have five full stages along with our existing Sheriff's Registration Office and a future mercantile. And because we are part of a sporting clays facility, don't be surprised if you see clay birds flying from the stages. Coyote Valley Cowboys offers a fun and enjoyable place to shoot. A typical day at our shoot usually includes cowboy coffee and donuts in the morning, 5 fun filled stages and sometimes a mulligan, lunch at the outdoor grill and patio behind the pro shop or a Dutch oven meal at the campfire and lots of socializing and story telling. If you're thinking about cowboy action shooting and want to know more, come to one of our shoots held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. We are always happy to share our sport with anyone interested. See you on the range.
